The Auxiliary to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital is also a member of the BC Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries. BCAHA links & strengthens BC’s Auxiliaries at the heart of healthcare.

The BC Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries was established in 1945 to promote education, leadership, effective communication, and high standards of performance as key factors in member Auxiliaries’ success. Currently, BCAHA’s 83 member auxiliaries in BC represent more than 6,600 adult volunteers and 800 youth volunteers. In 2014, member Auxiliaries devoted more that 1,330,000 volunteer hours, and donated more than $7,090,000 to purchase much needed healthcare equipment at the local level, and to enhance the care and comfort of patients and their families.

Members are kept up to date with timely information and resource material through their website, a regular newsletter and face-to-face interaction at the local and provincial levels, including annual provincial and regional annual general meetings and conferences, and a conference for youth every two years.
